1. Identify the task you repeat every day
If you work on site and handle enquiries yourself, a useful first tool should turn approved job details into something you can review quickly. Write down your last five enquiries: which details were missing, how you quoted, and what happened next. That reveals whether your immediate problem is collecting information, calculating a price or keeping track of an open quotation.
For example, “How much to service my aircon?” needs a scope check before a price. Use the customer requirements checklist to collect the requested service, unit count, area and preferred timing. Avoid promising a repair method or fixed price before assessing the actual work.
2. Choose a calculator for arithmetic and AI for drafting
A calculator is a good fit when you know the inputs and need a repeatable calculation. AI is more useful when you need help phrasing a reply or organising a draft. Neither can confirm your technician's availability, inspect equipment or verify a customer's payment.
- Pricing a job: try the service pricing calculator with your own costs and target margin.
- Preparing a document: use the quotation workspace and inspect the quotation example.
- Following up: start with the free follow-up planner.
- Adapting business wording: review the available member drafting tools in the AI hub.
3. Check the output your customer receives
Before subscribing, make one sample quotation using fictional customer details. Check the business name, contact information, scope, exclusions, total and next step. Open the PDF on a phone. A customer should be able to tell what is included and how to respond without reading a long chat message.
In iServices, sharing a quotation PDF and sending a WhatsApp message involve your review and manual actions. A generated message is not an automatically delivered message. Follow the PDF and WhatsApp sharing guide for the download-and-attach steps. Member booking-link features depend on the applicable plan; check the current plan details before subscribing.
4. Compare a subscription with your actual workload
iServices currently lists AI Starter at S$19 per month including GST with 20 AI requests per Singapore day, and AI Plus at S$30 per month including GST with 40. These are daily limits, not unlimited usage. The free calculators and templates can be a better starting point if you do not need member AI drafting. Check the pricing page for current terms and included tools.
Fictional planning example: if a tool saves two minutes on each of six quotations in a week, that is 12 minutes for that week. This is an assumption to test, not an iServices performance claim. Record your own time and whether the drafts need substantial editing. A lower subscription price alone does not establish that the tool is useful for your business.
5. Ask these questions before paying
- Can I try a realistic example with fictional details?
- Does the output match my services and approved rates?
- Can I edit the draft before sharing it?
- Are request limits, GST and billing terms clear?
- Does the tool actually connect to the systems I need, or will I move information manually?
- Can I find support and manage the subscription?
iServices is a set of business tools with optional AI membership. It does not supply technicians, guarantee enquiries or replace an accounting system. If you need dispatch, payroll, stock synchronisation or full accounting, check those requirements separately rather than assuming a drafting tool includes them.
